My motherhood journey began in 2016 when I suffered a late miscarriage. It was not what I expected, and the grief I felt
was unmanageable to me at the time. Shortly after, I started graduate school with dreams of becoming the therapist I needed in that season.
I learned a lot of this the hard way.
how I got here:
Several years later, I've had 4 pregnancies & postpartum experiences to learn from, I'm perinatal mental health certified PMH-C and a Gottman BBH facilitilitator. I've worked with countless new moms and couples, and know the best, evidence-based tools available to help you survive a season that can feel impossible.
So many moms feel guilty for taking time, money, and energy for themselves, and even for feeling sad in what they expected to be a happy season. But if you're struggling, something needs to change in order for you to feel better. I've been on both sides of the perinatal therapy "couch", and I can tell you that reaching out is a great first step.
