The truth is, I know how that feels. Every step of motherhood from infertility and loss, to pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting, challenges our expectations as often as it fulfills them. It's a disorienting time where the drastic changes in our identity, relationships, and sense of self prompt important questions like:
I'm a perinatal therapist (LMFT #151283, PHM-C). Each week, I sit with new, expecting, and future moms in therapy and listen as they tell me,

My time with Kylie was healing, validating, and comforting. I got the support I needed and finally felt comfortable having a second child.
